"We evaluated 4,400+ ambulatory surgery centers for treatment for procedures in four specialty areas: Colonoscopy & Endoscopy, Orthopedics & Spine, Ophthalmology (eye surgery) and Urology. We used three years of Medicare data to evaluate these surgical centers using criteria that includes how successfully they avoided complications, ER visits, unplanned hospitalizations and other undesirable outcomes.
