Dr. Fernando N. Gamarra, M.D. received his Doctorate of Medicine from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in April 2006. He completed his medical training in Internal Medicine and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at St. John Providence Hospital, Southfield, Michigan.

Dr. Gamarra is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Gamarra has presented and published original papers and abstracts on multiple topics in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He speaks fluent Spanish.

Dr. Gamarra practices at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, MI, at Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital in Grosse Pointe, MI, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, MI, and at the Eastside Endoscopy Center in St. Clair Shores and Macomb Township, MI.

Dr. Gamarra’s practice is dedicated to the diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, the liver and the pancreas.
